Build each truck's run from the stops
Today's stops, the ones with a window, the loads, the minutes a stop takes and the minutes between stops go into the dispatch schedule; it returns the stops on each truck's run sheet, the minutes the run takes, and the headroom inside the federal 11-hour driving limit.
Assign the runs on the board
Each run gets a driver and a truck on the board, with its loads and stops, and its status moves from assigned to en route to delivered or exception as the day goes. The whole fleet reads the same board from the road.
Roster the week, and close each run
The dispatch scheduling sheet rosters the drivers to the trucks for the week with the days off and the spare days counted. A run closes when the last stop is delivered and the sheet is filed against it, so next week's runs are planned from what this week's actually took.
